Jinty McGuinty's is buzzing with live music, an old fashioned Irish pub with a great atmosphere. Or if you prefer something more designer, there is also the stylish new bar and restaurant The Loft, where you may even spot a celebrity! Ashton Lane is a magnet for the many drinkers and out-on-the-towners passing through the West End's busiest vessel.

Vodka Wodka is another popular favourite down Ashton Lane with a great beer garden, good food and an amazing selection of drinks to chose from. Brel is a new bar/restaurant situated in a former stable and coach house providing great Belgian food and drink reflecting the best of what's available. There are also free jazz sessions on Saturday afternoons if you fancy it.

There is also the stunning Ubiquitous Chip restaurant producing traditional and original recipes of Scotland. The setting is a spectacular covered courtyard with a pool and a more traditional dining room. Or if you enjoy something more non traditional there is also the fantastic Ashoka Indian Restaurant. There is also the renowned Grosvenor Cinema down the lane. Cul de Sac is another restaurant, offering French cuisine you can enjoy a meal in a relaxed atmosphere and take in the surroundings.

Named as one of the most attractive streets in the West End, and indeed all of Glasgow by some. Several of the venues in Ashton Lane appear in various "Best of Scotland" eating guides.
